During a recent visit to China by UAE President Muhammad, the two sides stressed the establishment of a high-level CHINA-UAE Joint Committee on Investment Cooperation, which fully demonstrates the enthusiasm and expectation of both countries. “Hong Kong has benefited from the fruitful results of china-Arab co-operation,” said John Lee, chief executive, adding that the UAE was its largest trading partner in the region last year, Hong Kong and the United Arab Emirates have signed a“ Comprehensive agreement for the avoidance of double taxation” and“ Investment promotion and protection agreement” to promote economic and trade exchanges between the two places. The territory is exploring the possibility of entering into economic and trade agreements with potential Belt and Road economies such as the Middle East. Hong Kong will continue to give full play to its unique advantages and contribute to the high-quality development of our country and the prosperity and development of China and Arab countries.
